Sugar Land Pet Nanny

Hi Nancy -

I cannot thank you enough for taking care of Ollie!
It was so nice to come home to a happy, healthy pup.  He is acting like we never even left. We keep joking that you spoiled Ollie.  He follows us around the house with his ball, like, "Nancy would be playing fetch with me now."  Or he'll look at me in the kitchen with a look that says, "Nancy would give me a treat now."
Too funny.  I think he misses you.
We have such a hard time leaving Oliver so it made us feel a lot better knowing he was in good hands in his own  home. Thanks so much for the details of all of your visits.  I will be referring EVERYONE I KNOW to you ladies.

Thanks again!

Nancy has taken care of my pups, Quincy & Nikon, twice, with more visits already booked this summer.  I think Nikon has a crush on Nancy... he's really happy to hear the key in the door, but I get a "oh, it's just you" when I walk inside after she's taken care of them.

The nannies are very through.  Ingrid and Nancy come over and meet with you and your pets and make sure it's a good fit before they take you on.  They take good notes about how to care for your furry babies, they clean up any messes they find, and they'll also collect your mail or newspapers while you're away.  When you return, you'll find happy puppies and a detailed report of everything from their potty habits to behavior.

They're getting pretty busy so you need to book in advance, but if you're in the Sugar Land/Mo City area and you need someone to look after your pet in your own home instead of boarding them I can't think of anyone better to look after your pups.

Nancy and Ingrid,
Thank you so much for taking care of our precious puppy,Cody, while we were out of town and the VERY helpful tips about his biting. We never worried if he would get plenty of TLC while we were gone. Your service is fabulous. We loved reading your daily reports you left after each visit. Thank you for being such loving and caring ladies. We won't hesitate to call you again or recommend you.

Big hugs,

We cannot thank you enough.  Everyone was happy and healthy upon my return.  A bit peeved at me, but great none the less.

The daily notes were fantastic – really! Made me feel all warm & fuzzy inside.

We will certainly use your services in the future and will highly recommend to anyone.

Thank you both so much for the excellent care you both took of Paco & Dink.  I knew when you came out to meet “the boys” that they were in good hands!  And with the A.C. problem – you went over and above the call of duty.  I can’t thank you enough for the kindness and compassion you gave my babies J

Hello Nancy and Ingrid,
Thank you for the adorable pictures of our animals, they are such characters! I just can’t thank you enough for taking care of our gang for a whole week! When we walked in the door, Rufus just looked at us as if to say “Oh, you guys are back from the store? Where are Nancy and Ingrid?” We didn't worry a bit, had a great time at the beach and came home to three well cared for cats and a big dog who seemingly wasn't really aware that we had left! What a easy time we had packing , without all of the heartbreak and hassle of bringing four animals to the kennel! Thank you so much for loving them and taking care of them in their own environment. You also did a superior job of managing some details that I had neglected to tell you about, such as the wet food for the cats. Thanks again for your fine care, we highly recommend your services!

P.S. Thanks for the great cookies, we really enjoyed them!

Ingrid and Nancy have been taking care of our furry kids a couple of times a week for several months now. I know that I can call, text or email them and receive a quick response - even if it is just checking to see how the pups are doing. They are there when they say they will be, and they love our pups as much as we do. They always leave notes letting me know how the visit was and if they noticed anything unusual while they were there. I love the fact that I can send a quick text asking if they can make an unplanned visit, and I get a response almost immediately. I also know that our pups, Mr. Man and Angel, love Ingrid and Nancy and look forward to their visits. I can't imagine having anyone else take care of our pups.

Seven months ago you could not have seen a more pitiful family than the Parrys. I, Deborah, was weak and in remission from cancer. Jules, my nine year old Brittany and Marjorie, my three year old English Springer Spaniel, had just arrived from New York after the sudden death of my husband. Several months before, we'd lost our beloved Springer Spaniel, Wendy.

My husband was an active man and believed in taking the dogs for long walks everyday, whether it was snowing, sleeting or hailing. The dogs loved to explore our neighborhood. They also eagerly looked forward to meeting the various visitors to my husband's Law office that came to our house each day.

When we arrived, Jules was severely depressed, sat in the same spot most of the day, and sighed heavily very often. On the other hand, Marjorie couldn't sit still. She ran wildly around the house, and spent her day biting or scratching anyone or anything that came near her.

Both dogs desperately missed their "Daddy." No matter how hard I tried, I was physically unable to take the dogs for their walks. I searched the neighborhood for boys to help with the walking. By and large, they were unreliable.

Although I had moved to the same town as my brothers and sisters, I was disappointed to find that they didn't care much for dogs. That meant we had few visitors and the dogs had few opportunities to be petted or played with.

Luckily the dogs have an Aunt Elizabeth, who called to say she had seen an article in the Sugar Land paper about Pet Nanny. She insisted that I call right away.

That fateful call brought us two smart, energetic young women, Angels in Disguise, named Nancy and Ingrid.

Within the first few minutes of our meeting, Nancy and Ingrid had assessed the problem, prepared an action plan, made their commitment to get us organized and on firm footing.

After I agreed wholeheartedly to give it a try, our Angels whispered the solution to the dogs. Within the next few days, Jules, who had always been a reclusive dog that showed little affection to me or my husband, blushed happily when Nancy petted him. Jules left his indifference behind and began seeking Nancy's attention.

Marjorie was impressed by Ingrid's calm and gentle manner and began to settle-down. She liked that Ingrid allowed her to romp and explore incessantly, but also insisted that she do so safely.

Just when we thought things were getting better, Jules' back legs became paralyzed. I was devastated. I was sure I could not lose another family member so soon after the loss of my husband and Wendy. When I found out that Jules had a recurrence of the dreaded Lyme disease, a plague in the Northeast that is carried by deer ticks, and that Jules required daily medication, our Angels came to the rescue once again.

When I look back, I realize how fragile our little family was. I now understand that we were spiraling downward at a very rapid pace. I clearly see that our beautiful, dedicated, hard- working Angels brought glorious blessings to us.

Our Angels are true professionals, who demonstrate high standards and live their commitment to provide excellent service to their clients. We know they love us and have our best interests at heart.

They have brought us peace of mind, joy, and most importantly - hope.

I now believe that we will overcome our set-backs and difficulties. I hope that despite all that has happened to us, we will find true happiness with what remains of our little Parry family.

Thanks a Million Pet Nanny,

Deborah

Note from the Nannies – we are so happy to report that Jules is happy and healthy and Marjorie is much calmer. Deborah is an inspiration and reminds us without saying a word to be grateful for every day and courageous, no matter what life throws your way.

Ingrid,
Thanks for taking care of the lizard. You are a great nanny. Wish I had as good of one for the kids. I will mail the check tomorrow.

Thanks again,

Hi Nancy and Ingrid,
Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Iris and Riley while was away. I am so glad I used your services. The notes of what happened on each trip were very detailed and provided the comfort a pet parent needs :).

Thank you again.

WE were 'over the moon' with the absolute caring and giving of Sugar Land Pet Nanny while we were out of town. It was obvious the love and attention that Nancy and Ingrid gave to our 2 kids, a Yorkie named Tassie; and, our cat, Itza Bitza. She does not go up to just anyone; and, came right to both, Nancy & Ingrid.

All we can say is we just love you both; and so does our kiddos. See you again soon!

Mike and I moved to Missouri City this past year. Needing a pet sitter our veterinarian recommended The Sugar Land Pet Nanny. All of our pet companions are rescues. Our family consists of Daisy, a rambunctious Catahoula mix puppy, Annie, a nine year old cattle dog with a lot of issues and Molly, a ten year old mouser cat. The minute Nancy came into our home we instantly felt comfortable with her and more importantly our animals loved her! Annie and Molly, who are usually reserved towards strangers, came right up to her as we talked and demanded “pets”.

We call Nancy whenever we have to go out of town and now that Mike is working out of town she comes during the week also. Nancy throws tennis balls endlessly for Daisy until she stops returning them. Next she will sit down on the couch to talk and pet Annie and then treats for all before she leaves. She always does the little extras even though you don’t ask – like bringing in the garbage can, checking the mail and cleaning up any accidents. When we get home everyone is happy! She and Ingrid are always ready to work with you when you need them to squeeze you into their schedule at the last minute.

When we are not there we always feel assured knowing that Nancy is taking care of the girls. She leaves a detailed report of how everyone is doing. Nancy has become part of our family.
We’ve asked her if we could adopt her but she declined.

Sugar Land Pet Nanny was initially called by us to exercise our two "working" dogs, so that they would stop eating our window sills and stair treads!  Bucky and Mandy came to us as rescue dogs and they have such sweet temperaments they deserved the little extra effort and expense to give them what they needed and what we didn't have the time to give.

We got much more than that.  Our dogs wait at the door at the time Nancy or Ingrid are expected to come and they are so happy to see them every day.  They get the exercise that is right for them, some training and come back into the house happy and tired.  This has made a difference at night as well, since the exercise has fulfilled them for the day and all that we need to do at night is play, feed, play and hang out.

There were a couple of occasions, when Nancy found a dog sick and she not only cleaned up after the dog, but took him to our veterinarian for us, so that medical help could begin sooner.  This kind of help goes above and beyond the call of duty and totally explains the devotion to animals that motivates this Pet Nanny.

We leave each other notes every day, like family members do, and we are very grateful for their service to us and our animals.

I contacted Nancy with Sugar Land Pet Nanny more than 6 months ago to help me with walking my 70 lb Alaskan Malamute "Gizmo" and my sheltie "Bailey".  My work hours didn't allow me to walk my animals on a regular basis.  Gizmo, even though he is 3 years old was new to the household with no training.  I also needed help in training Gizmo so that he would not "walk" me down the street when I walked the dogs.  Within days Nancy had trained Gizmo on the leash and he no longer was tugging and he even started to calm down in the house and not be so destructive.  Now I use her services regularly when I go out of town or get busy at work.  My animals love her and I feel so much better knowing they are being well taken care of and given much love.  Nancy even stopped at the store for me when I was sick and picked up some things I needed.  I highly recommend Sugar Land Pet Nanny as they are a loving and dependable service to me.

As full-tme professionals, my husband and I are always on the go. Blake works as a financial analyst downtown and is currently working to achieve his MBA during the evenings. As a 2nd grade teacher, I know that my day is going to be full of the unknown. We wake up early, spend our day running around constantly, and come home exhausted. Throughout the day my mind is in one hundred different places, and as a dog owner, I am at times left feeling guilty about the lack of time and energy that I have to devote to my pups at the end of each day. With a workday averaging around 9 to 10 hours, I know that a potty break is necessary sometime during the middle of the day. That's when Blake and I decided to hire someone to come walk the dogs.

Nancy Block, the Sugar Land Pet Nanny, has allowed us to focused on our work throughout the day without any worries about the dogs being at home for such an extended amount of time. She is wonderful with both our hyper, fun-loving boxer and our intelligent, anxious terrier. Nancy is conscientious of our family's schedule and the dogs' needs as well. She not only provides the dogs with an afternoon potty break and walk, but she's always ready to partake in playtime or a give a little extra love. Both Blake and I feel at ease with having her as a part of not only our dogs' lives but as a part of our lives as well. She is an amazing person who knows how to give your pet precisely what they need.

Nancy has been a real blessing as my pet sitter.  I have 3 cats and 1 has a lot of health problems.  When I have had to travel, it has been for 4 days or more at a time.  Nancy and I communicate by text messages, email or phone so she stays in close contact to let me know things are okay.  Nancy has had to give my cat oral medicines and eye drops (not an easy task since my cat hates it).  When I come back home, I find notes from Nancy detailing what she has done on a daily basis.  Nancy is forthcoming with any information such as having her partner come on certain days when she cannot, and I have been able to count on her because of her responsible and honest nature.  She follows all my instructions and calls whenever a question comes up.  I can't ask for more.  She even waters some of my plants for me and gathers my mail and circulars.  Nancy is one of the few pet sitters that I have encountered who has both a dog and a cat, so she understands the needs for both.  I highly recommend Nancy Block as reliable and trust worthy.

Hello sweet friend!

Thank you SOOOOOO much for taking such good care of EVERYTHING!  My babies were happy to see me but seemed well loved!  Thank you too for the updates and just everything!  It was perfect!  I will get you a check in the mail tomorrow when I catch my breath but didn't want you worrying that I didn't make it home!  Keep my keys girlfriend!  I will most assuredly be calling you again and referring my pet lovers to you!  You're a blessing!

WOW, WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME FOR MY DOG!

Dear Nancy,  I don't know how to thank you enough!  Spock was such a happy dog while we were gone.  Thank you for all your extra effort during the hurricane. I can not say enough good things about you.  It is so comforting to know that our baby (dog) was so happy while we were gone.  We did not worry about him at all.  Thank you ...thank you ...thank you!!

Nan,

Dick and I were impressed with how well you handled Spock, our neighbor dog, when he was in your care and the extra attention you gave him and our neighbor's home while they were away.  We were amazed when you had Sherlock and Watson walking properly on their leashes by the end of our block.  We felt comfortable leaving them with their new sister, Bonnie, in your capable care while we were out of town.  Many thanks for keeping Bonnie from chewing through the house and for cleaning up our front garden after the 'jaws' picked up Ike's debris.

Our neighbor commented on how effortlessly you had our three and her golden under your spell.  You really do have a gift with animals.

Thanks again for bringing us ice when we had no power.  You always go the extra mile.
