If you are having issues with tugging on the leash, basic manners such as sit, stay, come, down, dogs running out the front door or some odd behavioral issues (depending on what the behavior issue is), We can  help.  We offer in home one-on-one training with you and your dog.

If you need help getting your dawg and you on the same wave length...and you are reading this...YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!

I adopted a 2 1/2 years old, 40 lbs McNab from a shelter in Oregon in January. She formerly lived and worked on a ranch, got pregnant and the rancher brought her to a shelter. She is a very calm dog, has a wonderful personality and came to me with good manners. She is an absolute love, I really lucked out. My only problem was THE WALK. I had enjoyed taking 3 to 4 mile walks and looked forward to sharing this with Toffee, but I could hardly stand to take a 2 mile walk. I came back frustrated, as I know she was.

Even though I had two sessions with a highly recommended trainer (strictly for the walk issue), Toffee continued to pull me down the street as if I were wearing roller blades. When I was with the trainerÖToffee did great and I did too. But when I got back to our neighborhood I found that we really had not progressed very much.

A friend offered me a copy of Pet Talk...I saw Nancy's ad...indicating 100% results, re the walking issue...
I am located on the other end of the world from Nancy but called with high hopes. After speaking with Nancy for just a few minutes, she told me I WOULD be able to fix this problem...let me say this again, I WOULD be able to fix it and suggested a phone consult be set up since it could be over a week before we could do an in-home training session. Nancy could tell I really wanted to be able to walk Toffee sooner than later and felt my frustration quickly.

We had ONE LONG TELEPHONE CONSULT and instantly Toffee's and my life improved. Nancy is beyond amazing! She absolutely knows what she is talking about, it is obvious that she adores her pets and everyone else's too. Beyond that, she knows how to build confidence in someone that is "a babe in arms" in the training game. During our conversation, Nancy asked a lot of questions, then gave me the game plan. Amazingly, I too, knew that I would do what Nancy said and Toffee and I would soon be loving our walks. The FIRST time I tried the program that Nancy outlined for me..(which was the very day we spoke) I felt we had achieved a miracle...AND it has just been getting better and better.

Call Nancy, for your pet issues. She WILL fix them for you. I know that, just like I now know how to walk with my dog!

If you want me to tell you more, get my email from Nancy...I will be most happy to brag on her...not only have I achieved my goal...but the bonus is, I now have a new bud in Nancy...She is a fantastic personality. Your encounter will more than exceed your needs.

note from Nancy: phone consultations are not the best way to grasp training procedures and I don't recommend this for 99% of the people having issues with their pups. In this case, Dee was highly motivated to fix the problem, was an awesome listener and was able to immediately implement the direction I had given and got results the very same day. Right on Dee, very proud of you and Toffee!

I want to thank Nancy for all her help with Harley, my 9 month old Malti-poo. I had Harley paper trained but was having difficulty training her to go potty outside. She was not good at walking on a leash, always tugging and getting freaked out by the cars driving by. I saw Nancy's ad in the local magazine and decided to give her a try. Needless to say I am SO thankful that I did. She gave me the courage to keep going when I thought there was no hope for my little one. Harley now goes potty outside like she is supposed to, walks beautifully on a leash and even has the basic commands down! Nancy truly has a gift when it comes to working with animals. Thank you so much for everything and for always checking in to see how we are doing!!

Dear Nancy,

It has been several weeks since our last training session and we are happy to report that calm prevails in our household.  We remain amazed that you were able to come in and analyze our situation so quickly and help us turn things around.

After coming home with two dachshund  puppies and facing our grown dachshund's responses to them, we were afraid we had made an incredibly big mistake.  We couldn't let the big boys anywhere near the pups for fear they would hurt them.  Your immediate response to our distress was a great relief.  We did not realize that the big dogs were running the house and that things had to change.  So, after our first session and some skepticism regarding your instructions for US, we began implementing your plan.  Your no nonsense, step by step approach to training people and their pets yielded the results we needed!  After just a few days of working with our grown dogs we were able to integrate the pups into the family.  The dominate male still makes his presence known, but in a manner acceptable to all.

I am enclosing a couple of photos of the "boys" so you can see just how well things are going.  The first photo shows our big boy Bailey setting eyes on the pups for the first time and planning to eat them!  Next is a great photo of you with the pups.  Another shot of pack leader Ken, playing tug-o-war with all his boys!  And, finally a photo of Bailey smiling and sleeping after a hard day of training and playing with his new brothers.

We have told all our friends that we found Houston's own "dog whisperer".  WE BELIEVE!   You are a truly gifted trainer of animals...and people!

Our very best to you,

Ken, Fran, Billy, Rae, Bailey, Charlie, Toby and Sammy

Dear Nancy,

David and I want to thank you for helping make our dogs more obedient and easier to handle.  As you know, we had a problem walking them in the neighborhood because they were distracted by just about anything that moved.  After your instruction and hands on involvement we now have the tools to walk all 3 dogs at the same time.  It is so nice to open the gate and all 3 of them know that we are the Alpha Dog and that we lead.  Your simple techniques and easy going manner made working with you a pleasure.

We will certainly call upon your services when our pooches need a little tweaking.

Thanks again from two dog lovers to another,

I contacted Nancy with Sugar Land Pet Nanny more than 6 months ago to help me with walking my 70 lb Alaskan Malamute "Gizmo" and my sheltie "Bailey".  My work hours didn't allow me to walk my animals on a regular basis.  Gizmo, even though he is 3 years old was new to the household with no training.  I also needed help in training Gizmo so that he would not "walk" me down the street when I walked the dogs.  Within days Nancy had trained Gizmo on the leash and he no longer was tugging and he even started to calm down in the house and not be so destructive.  I highly recommend Sugar Land Pet Nanny as they are a loving and dependable service to me.

With a little coaching from Nancy I was able to get my dog to: sleep in her own bed, not cry for attention during the night, and not beg to be fed at 4am. I worked on her behavior on my own for several months without any results. Nancy's method had my dog's behavior inline in 2-3 nights! I was really surprised and quite thrilled not to have the dog sleeping on my head and crying all night! We are both much happier.  It was pretty amazing, snap lay down, snap lay down, and she did!  Now when I do "snap lay down" it takes one snap and she goes and lays down...Nancy is the dog whisperer!

*note from Nancy:

Laura was visiting family here in Houston and during lunch she told us the issue she was having with Scout.  I gave her some step by step instructions on how to fix the problem.  Normally I need to work with both the animal and owner together but in this case, Laura was able to apply the advice given and it worked.

My adorable little dogs had a bad habit of wanting to run out the front door and down the street.  After 30 minutes of working with Nancy they understood, and were following, the 'sit' and 'stay' commands.  Thank you, Nancy, I can breathe easier when I open the front door now.

Dear Nancy, I want to thank you for working with Spock.  He had terrible behavior when anyone was in our swimming pool with him.  He thought he owned the pool and would cry loudly and really misbehave if anyone else was in the pool.  You worked with him and my husband in the pool for about an hour and he was cured...while you were there.  I am working with my husband and Spock to reinforce this positive behavior and we may need a refresher but,,,,Nancy...you worked miracles.  You have a natural ability with dogs and we are so lucky to have found you.  Thanks again.
